|Note from Yuxing Liao:
- Some yhhN proteins are shown to be lysoplasmalogenases (PMID: 25445671, 21515882). The first paper is just published and suggests some potential catalytic residues based on alignments and conservation. These residues, i.e. K31, D66, H87, S171, Y195 indeed form a pocket in the core of the model. The invariant D66 might be the trigger of the reaction, like the only other enzyme that hydrolyzes the vinyl ether bond, PhzD (PDB: 1NF9, not homologous).
- In ECOD, it might be a new X-group, although structural search finds a bunch of GPCR rhodopsins.
